JFP Holdings has worked with a wide range of service and education companies interested in penetrating the Chinese market. We have explored the China market on behalf of numerous restaurant companies and retailers, and have worked with Chinese developers seeking new tenants for their properties.
Currently, there are over 160 cities in China with a population of one million or more, and China’s top ten cities range in size from 6 million to 22 million people. In what will be the biggest urban migration in history, an estimated 240 million Chinese will move from the countryside into cities in the coming years, creating dozens of new cities with multimillion populations. By 2025, 225 of the world’s 600 largest mega and middleweight cities will be located in China, and six Chinese cities will be among the top ten in the world.
As Chinese move into the city, the need for shopping malls, new shopping venues, restaurants and services will expand dramatically. Likewise, a larger urban population will require a wider array of new educational and training services in order to get ahead in the workplace. A long list of logistic and transportation services like ride sharing will also be required to serve the growing urban population and the internet economy in China.
